Mermaid [Kindle in Motion] (Kindle Single)

I absolutely adore Jodi Picoult and was ecstatic to find out she had a new book however this one left me wanting more. More explanation, more story, just more. I felt very unfulfilled after reading it. Perhaps if this was a short story to go along with a longer volume I'd eventually get my "fill" and rate this much higher.

As a Jodi Picoult fan I found myself instantly engrossed in her latest story. I was supremely disappointed in the fact that we were teased with the promise of yet another amazing talent only to have this novella abruptly end. Jodi write us the whole book of this amazing character. This felt like a first chapter not a story.

I purchased this merely for the graphics and effects while reading. It was a quick read, but interesting. Loved the graphics.. the colors, the ocean. Very unique. Only 3 stars because there could have been so much more to the story and explanation of what really happened. It ends rather abruptly leaving the reader a bit confused.

I really didn't enjoy this book? Unusual, I usually enjoy Jodi's stories. I guess if it links to a full book, then I will enjoy having the additional knowledge about the characters. But as a stand alone, I did not think much of it at all.

This was a well-written story, but like others have said, it was woefully incomplete. It seems to be a study of the human psyche, but it never goes anywhere with that either. It seems to want to be sci-fi but also esoteric at the same time, but without completing either way.

Very frustrating read not worth the funds, even with the fancy graphics, pretty though they may be.

As always with Jodi Picoults characters, I felt engaged straight away but I felt cheated by the truncated nature of the book. I hadn't realized that it was so short when I purchased it.
However, the graphics were gorgeous and an exciting addition. Even so , I wouldn't read one of these short books again

I love Jodi Picoult's books so I instantly bought this. It's not like her other books, it almost seems like a chapter from the beginning of the book and a chapter from the middle but not really together.

Extremely short story that was all over the place. I'm really glad that I didn't pay over $5 for this. I was really hoping it would of been longer... seems like this story was thrown together around all the images and videos...
